Obedience Class Descriptions
Basic Obedience 1
A six week course designed to build a better relationship between you and your dog. This class is for dogs 3 months of age or older. Controlled walking, sit and down stay, a stand stay and coming when called are included in this program. All lessons are on-leash and should be used in day-to-day situations. At the end of six weeks, students have the option of taking the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Test and/or the CGC Canine Good Citizen Test for an additional fee.
Intermediate/Advanced Obedience
A six week course for those dogs who have already done Basic Obedience 1. This class is the next step in adding distance and distractions to stays and recalls. These lessons will be on and off leash and used in day-to-day situations. Rally will be introduced and skills such as doing a sit for exam or a stand for exam will also be learned. At the end of the six weeks, students do have the option to take the CGC Canine Good Citizen Test for an additional fee. Pre-requisite: Basic Obedience 1
Competition Rally will be done by invitation only. This class will be for students who are actively competing.. This class is for students to compete in AKC, UKC, C-Wags or World Cynosport.
